Welcome to Burton 2000. This site was setup on 15th November 1999 for the sole purpose of letting the world know what a beautiful town we live in. Burton upon Trent has a colorful past and history, and is probably best known in the world as a Brewery town. The town has changed dramatically over the last 10 years let alone the last 100. I will bring together old archive pictures of the thriving market town during Victorian times and the present times around Burton. Including historical accounts of the Burton Monks, the River Trent, the Washlands and more. My Picture gallery contains many pictures of The Ferry Bridge, Burton on Trent Town, The Queens Visit, Brewery's, Greensmiths Flour Mills, Burton Albion, Floods of Burton, The Burton Abbey and Much more. I would love your comments on it or anything to do with Burton. I hope you enjoy your stay, and please sign the Guest book Arthur. November 2009

| Burton Flour Mills At last the restoration work is complete at the mill and I would like to thank kevin Ellis the property developer and all of his staff for for their help and for allowing me on site from 2004 to 2008, in this time I have taken in excess of over 1400 photographs to record the restoration. The Gainsborough team have made a derelict site into something to be proud of, Their work has been to the highest standard and they should be proud of what they have achieved at the mill. The Greensmith family are happy that the mill has been saved and restored for future generations to enjoy and for people to live there as well. Please go to my Gallery section for the mill pictures past and present, If any Society or Club would like a slide show and talk all about the mills, or old Burton please send me an email for more information. Regards Arthur the link below will take you to the Conack Homes LTD in association with Gainsborugh property site for more information on the mills at Burton and the apartments that are for sale.
